This is not a PGR mission but placed here so that anyone wishing to participate has the information they need. The text and details are from "Harley Charlie." Thanks Steve Lucas Deputy State Captain North Texas PGR The attached flyer tells the story of Ayden Torres. His step daddy, Chris, is an Army Reservist (SpecOps) who has served in Iraq at least once (perhaps twice...I'm not sure). It would be a great show of patriotic support if there were too many folks from all over (not just PGR) showing up Saturday to help and, at present, we expect 50-75 to show. Obviously, those numbers are fluid and can change in either direction. The weather Saturday is supposed to be pretty nice - mostly sunny, mid 70s, Feel free to call me at 682-203-1164 with any questions. And please forgive the late notice on this. This event was firmed up only yesterday, and the idea to get PGR involved just materialized in my mush-filled skull this evening. Thank you very much, sir. God bless you, and MERRY CHRISTMAS! Unfortunately, here in the Metroplex area, we are simply unable to honor all the requests we receive for individual welcome homes. They could easily run into the hundreds and more and we just don't have the resources to accommodate each one. Given that this is a wounded warrior and came to us via Texas HOTH Coordinator Debbie Horton we are posting the information for the riders to see. The details came from this Marine's mom. For any riders planning to go to the airport, please remember to check current flight information such as arrival time, gate and baggage claim area before you go for any changes. Thanks Steve Lucas Deputy State Captain North Texas PGR I would love for the Patriot Riders to come and be a part of my son, LCPL Rodgers, homecoming. He is currently living in San Diego at the Wounded Warrior Barracks at the Naval Medical Center. Justin was injured in Afghanistan when a 10-15yr old child threw a fragmentation grenade into his turret on top of the hummer. Despite his major injuries to his left hand, arm, and face, his is recovering very well. We are very appreciative of everything our military medical staff did to save the use of his hand. Justin sustained six surgeries and continues physical and occupational therapy. Justin will be traveling from San Diego to DFW Airport on Saturday at 12:30pm. He will be arriving on American Airlines Flight 1672. Justin was a Varsity quarterback at NW High School, an Eagle Scout, and now a Purple Heart recipient. As you can tell we are very proud of him. We are excited to just have him home, especially for the holidays. I know that many other mothers may not be able to say that and for them I pray for peace in their hearts. Our family knows how lucky we are. We thank you for making this homecoming that much more special!
